Ingredients

Crostini base
  • 1 baguette Sliced 1/2 inch thick on the bias.
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
Whipped feta
  • 8 oz feta Crumbled.
  • 4 oz cream cheese Softened.
  • 2 tbsp Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
Hot honey topping
  • 1 4 oz hot honey 1/4 cup.
  • 0.25 red pepper flakes For garnish.
  • 0.25 fresh thyme For garnish.

Equipment

  • 1 sheet pan
  • 1 food processor

Method

Bake the crostini
  1. Preheat oven to 400F. Brush baguette slices with olive oil and arrange on a baking sheet with cut sides facing up.
  2. Bake for 6-8 minutes at 400F until golden and crisp, with edges turning lightly browned.
Whip the feta
  1. In a food processor, blend feta, cream cheese, Greek yogurt, and lemon zest until fluffy and smooth.
Assemble and finish
  1. Spread a thick layer of whipped feta on each crostini so the topping holds its shape.
  2. Drizzle with hot honey, then top with red pepper flakes and fresh thyme for a visible garnish contrast.

Notes

For extra-smooth whipped feta, use room-temperature cream cheese so the mixture blends without lumps. Store leftovers covered in the fridge up to 3 days; reheat crostini briefly at 375F for 2-3 minutes so they stay crisp. Freezing whipped feta is not recommended, but you can freeze baked crostini and re-crisp them in the oven. For a lighter option, use low-fat cream cheese and plain low-fat Greek yogurt.
